Antibuckling guides.
Our specially designed guiding systems provide the best solution for long, trouble-free equipment life, even when considering use at maximum speed. Thousands of these individually designed Rapid-Air antibuckling stock guides are in use throughout the world.
Rapid-Air engineers evaluate each application to suggest the best guides suited for handling difficult-to-feed materials without damage or a sacrifice in speed. These special antibuckling guides provide the best long-term solution when feeding very flexible materials at any progression or when feeding long progressions where the material may tend to buckle from friction in the die or tooling.
Antibuckling stock guides are available for handling difficult-to-feed materials.

Belt feed attachment.
Provides an easy answer to feeding limp materials such as foils, tapes, fabrics, paper or photographic film. Just about any kind of delicate material can be sandwiched between the two endless belts to move it into or out of a workstation. Our belt feed attachment is a compact accessory that slips over models A2 and C3 and feeds quickly and easily. The unit is built on a solid plate with mounting holes provided at both ends. Action of the feed slide block moving forward drives the belts. Standard belts have a smooth carrying surface. Feeds with the belt feed accessory in place can be actuated with the standard mechanical valve, or with our optional electric actuating valve.
Note: Because of the higher inertia, the feed runs at a slower speed.

Electric & pneumatic actuating valve control.
All Rapid-Air models can be factory-equipped with an electrically operated three-way actuating valve to control feed cycle timing. The feed slide block retracts for a new progression when electric current is applied to the solenoid. The feed then moves the stock when the current is cut off. The standard valve is a three-way type, normally open, 115 vac, 60 hz. Electric valves with other voltages are also available.
