Non-powered reels which employ a straightener or other equipment to provide the power to pull the material off the coil, are available with mechanical, pneumatic and electric drag brakes to limit stock overrun.
Inner coil plates or keeper arms are options on both variable speed powered and non-powered models.
Rapid-Air offers manual centering arms or hydraulic expansion to grip the inside diameter of the coil. We also offer optional hold down arms and safety cages for “clockspring” concerns. Consult Rapid-Air for your unique requirements. We are happy to manufacture special diameter shafts, stepped shafts, shafts for air chuck style inside diameter grip and other engineered solutions to meet your specific needs.
