Dual strip management.
The modular design of Rapid-Air’s multi-head stock reel allows for the head setup to be offset, ideal for dual material strip management. The reels can be easily configured in a custom arrangement to accommodate your specific manufacturing needs. No other coil handling equipment can offer you this level of flexibility and reliability, all in a compact unit that requires a minimum of floor space.
Loop control.
The Rapid-Air Model LC-DSE Loop Control offers operators economical payout and rewind of delicate stock. One external loop control (your choice of touch system or ultrasonic) controls the upper or lower head. The operator simply selects the active reel head, and the external loop control takes over until the reel has completed its payout or rewind function. The operator then switches to the inactive head. The LC-DSE Control incorporates a jog to take up the tail on the inactive head.
Straightener or power roll combos.
A quality Rapid-Air modular straightener or Rapid-Air power roll can be included with your multi-head reel assembly providing convenience, versatility and precise material flow for unmatched, space-saving coil handling.

Any number of multi-head setups can be put in place to accommodate your manufacturing needs. One reel setup can be in full operation while the other setup is standing by, ready to make a smooth and quick changeover. Less downtime means added production efficiently. Inserting interleaf material to protect delicate, plated or intricately shaped materials that could snag or tangle during manufacturing is a simple procedure. The use of multi-head reel combinations allows you to put tension on the stock for a tighter, more compact wrap. Consult factory for special arrangements.
