Our single and double head traverse rewind reels handle the rewinding of first-operation stampings easily and quickly. This prepares the stock for the next step in fabricating the end product, which may include secondary stamping, plating or other functions.
Utilizing traverse wound material provides more stock on a single container.
Adjustable dwell and fully synchronized oscillation and rotation speed are features. The main drive is a two-circuit hydraulic package powered by two DC motors. One motor drives oscillation while the other drives rotation of the head. The combination of electric and fluid power achieves a smooth, even, constant rate of traverse/wind as well as sensitive control.
Dwell settings can be adjusted for each end of the traverse stroke and can be isolated to enable swell to occur on the extend side, on the retract side, or on both sides. As the rate of material flow changes, the dancer arm automatically controls the preset rate of head oscillation and rotation. These speeds are increased or decreased in a synchronized manner so that material is laid on coils evenly as it comes off a press or other machine.
Setup is fast and simple. Wind, traverse and dwell settings are dialed by the operator and can be fine-tuned while the unit is operating. Repeat jobs can be set up quickly by redialing the established settings.
All controls are conveniently located and easy to monitor. Counterweights are furnished for adjusting the amount of tension applied to the material being wound.
Each unit is specially engineered for a particular type of application. Send us details of your specific requirements and we will make a recommendation that will best suit your needs.
