Use this basic formula to estimate your tonnage requirements:
(T x L x S) ' 2,000
= Required Tonnage
Where:
T = Decimal thickness of material in inches
L = Length of cut in inches
S = Shear strength of material in PSI
1 Ton = 2,000 pounds
